I feel like I've finally found my perfect tennis shoe. I am usually a size 5 with a higher instep and not slim feet (also wouldn't be a wide though). Ended up getting these in a 5 1/2 and they're so wonderful. So light and squishy, but as others have mentioned, not flimsy. I just ordered my 3rd pair. If you have super slender feet they may not be your favorite, but for those of us who like more room for the foot/toes to spread out, try these!

Wore these on a six day trip out west to hike state parks in NV and UT, a short hike in the Grand Canyon, and several trails in Sedona. I brought my hiking boots as well, just in case, but didn't end up wearing them at all as these worked well (okay, maybe not in the Grand Canyon because it was muddy and icy) and they are way more comfortable than my hiking boots, which are not Merrell brand. I barely broke these in before leaving so I was nervous they'd rub my foot in some uncomfortable way but I had zero problems whatsoever. Love how they look in all our photos and didn't get all that dirty for all I put them through. Great value for the price - highly recommend!

My wife loves these shoes. Lightweight trail hikers that dry really fast. We hiked all of the waterfalls of north Georgia last week and she had zero complaints about the shoes. I liked my trail running shoes and decided to buy her a pair. Best decision i could've made.
